Neat and compact ramps for floor or tabletop use. The solid wood ramps adjust to different heights and take apart for easy storage.
A fantastic tool for investigating forces: move onto different surfaces to investigate the effects of friction; raise or lower the ramps to investigate the effects of gravity. A great way to slow down demonstrations for 'falling'. Will a heavier or lighter car reach the bottom of the ramp first? Would also be great to use as part of cross-curricular road safety work.
The set includes 5 ramps and 5 open-backed trucks, which can be loaded for other investigations.

Explain that frictional forces affect movement and depend on the properties of the surfaces involved. Estimating speeds and accelerations in everyday contexts.
